RECENT PROJECT
The Newt, Somerset- Roman Villa The Newt discovered Roman ruins dating from 351 AD and we were tasked with creating furniture for the most exciting recreation of a Roman structure ever undertaken in the UK. This two-year project, undertaken during the pandemic, involved extensive and painstaking archaeological research before we set about finding and visiting expert craftspeople specialising in wood, metal and stone, who ultimately created more than 40 types of furniture for the villa.
This is amongst the most unique and fascinating work we have ever undertaken - the recreation of the Roman Villa allows visitors an educational and immersive experience that rivals any historical site in Britain and we are proud to have been part of
